Dear members, our signature doubles event “The Pell Cup” is only 5 weeks
Teams will be assigned to divisions based upon the number of entries and
the handicap level of the team (this is not a handicap event), due to the
popularity of this event, there will be a maximum of 32 teams. You must
have a partner to enter. If you are under 18, you must have a club
handicap of 35 or better, to be eligible to enter the event.
It will be a round robin format. Due to the anticipated size of the
tournament, all players must be prepared to play by 8:00 AM on Thursday,
August 15. Local players may be given playing assignments on
Tuesday/Wednesday, August 14.
• Thursday Night – Clubroom informal party. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and
light snacks. Meet here to make your dinner plans.
• Friday Night – Cocktails on the East Porch, with deluxe hors d’oeuvres.
• Saturday Night – Conanicut Yacht Club Dinner. Casual Dress
$250 per player. Entry fee includes all social events, marking, and a
commemorative gift. Guests are invited to all social events for an
additional $100 per person. If a guest wishes to attend the Thursday
and Friday parties, the charge is $35. If a guest wishes to attend only
the Saturday Dinner, the charge is $80.

sure to include whether you will be attending the social events, and
whether you will be bringing a guest(s).
The entry deadline is Friday, August 9, 2013. The draw will be posted
online www.nationaltennisclub.org and at the Club by Sunday, August 11.
